- I don't know about France, but if it is like in Switzerland, you just
- need a special cable that invert some polarities. You should be able
- to find them in a computer or telecom shop.
- I have a US modem here in Switzerland, and with the right cable, it
- works perfectly.
- Look also in airport shops... travelers are frequent users of laptops
- with modems and don't use them only in the US.
