  20. I don't know about France, but if it is like in Switzerland, you just
  21. need a special cable that invert some polarities. You should be able
  22. to find them in a computer or telecom shop.
  23. I have a US modem here in Switzerland, and with the right cable, it
  24. works perfectly.
  25. Look also in airport shops... travelers are frequent users of laptops
  26. with modems and don't use them only in the US.
